I would agree that some of the employees, are at the bottom of the work ladder. Is six people worth $70 billion over the top No. What I do see is a company, that has customers. So many customers it can be as big as it is. I would have to think most employees working at walmart are happy. As for the public benefits. It would not be Fair to say walmart, is the only company with workers on public benefits. A few other company with the same problem are Sonic,Starbucks,Hilton Hotels & CVS All large national chains.

Yikes! It must be for for someone to even create such a site. I've caught a glimpse maybe once or twice when I happened to be there in the late morning or early evening. It is definitely safer before 9:00am. I much rather see [any kind] people working, even under such "horrible" (???) conditions knowing that there are beings amongst us who only bother to get out of bed to go gambling or to dope themselves back to stupor, all while collecting taxpayer money as the only merit of their existence.

Capitalism is a cancer that has destroyed the United States! If you are wealthy you rule the world.Maybe some day the meek will rule the earth?

I agree with you Michael Haley. But many of us still shop there because things are affordable, especially in hard times. I do wonder though...is it really 'doing the right thing, or Big business sticking it's hand out for a welfare payment? It was really convenient how they didn't make this announcement until Obama announced he would be giving tax credits to employers who hired Veterans. Not to mention, the bribery scandal in Mexico. Yeah, I'd say they have the morality of a gnat. I think I'd be happier if the Veterans are put in to full time position's if that's the work they need, not part time, and on welfare.

Michael, then the problem is how do we get health care to those people? Our system is set up for health insurance to be provided by employers, then when you increasingly have employers either opting out or providing inadequate care, what do we do? Well, we let people get sick and die is what we do. That's an ugly world that lacks compassion.
