I was fortunate to be asked to volunteer as a safety vessel for this race, it attracts world class swimmers from all over the world, approximately 600 swimmers entered the water at Angel Island at 9AM today.
We put out boats in at Sams dock in Tiburon at 8am, paddled to the cove at Angel Island and waited to escort the swimmers back.
It was a great experience I hope to repeat next year, yes I know this was not in our town..but it was such a great experience I had to share it.
