3 From Petaluma Arrested in Probation-Compliance Sweep

Three people were arrested following a multi-agency compliance check on high-risk offenders on Thursday in Sonoma County.

Between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sonoma County law enforcement officials conducted compliance checks on high-risk felony probation offenders and persons on post-release community supervision throughout Rohnert Park, Cotati, Petaluma and west Sonoma County.

A total of 55 people were identified as needing a compliance check or had an outstanding warrant.

Law enforcement officials completed a total of 41 compliance checks, resulting in the arrest of three Petaluma residents, police reported.

Ken R. Perry, 36, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. Richard Chavarria, 23, was arrested for felony probation violation. Anna Herger, 57, was arrested for felony probation violation.

As a result of the Realignment Act of 2011, California counties have been provided funds by the State to address crime impacts in their communities and assist front line law enforcement officers in providing public safety.
