5 Sonoma County Men Arrested in Sting for Solicting Sex with 13-Year-Old Girl

Santa Rosa police and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office arrested five men on suspicion of soliciting sex from a 13-year-old girl during a human trafficking sting on Friday.

The human trafficking operation was part of the nationwide Operation Cross Country headed by the FBI, sheriff's Sgt. Ruben Martinez said. The local effort specifically targeted people who responded to advertisements for sex with a 13-year-old girl and contacted undercover detectives posing as the girl, Martinez said.

Those who were arrested and booked in the Sonoma County Jail are Alberto Carreno-Hernandez, 32, of Petaluma, Nichols Perry, 35, of Sebastopol, and Santa Rosa residents Mateo Strawbridge, 19, Rodolfo Alvarez, 36 and David Kilonzo, 45.

According to Martinez, there has been an increase in the solicitation of prostitution in Sonoma County based on the increase of advertisement on prostitution related Internet sites.
