Report: Skate Park Attack Suspect is Accused Petaluma Gift Card Thief

The 19-year-old gift card suspect is accused of an attack at Petaluma Skate Park that hospitalized a 16-year-old boy.

A man accused of a $22,000 heist involving a local elementary school earlier this year was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of beating up a 16-year-old boy at the Petaluma Skate Park earlier this year, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports.

Police say Zach T. Fortune, 19 of Petaluma, punched his alleged victim in the face, head-butted him and then threw him to the ground in the July 5 incident, the Press Democrat reports. Fortune left the scene but returned an hour later and hit him in the face again.

The alleged victim was treated for a facial injuries at Petaluma Valley Hospital.

Police said Fortune admitted to the attack, according to the Press Democrat report. He was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Fortune was among three men arrested earlier this year on suspicion of stealing fundraiser gift cards valued at $22,000 from Meadow School.
