Alleged Prowler Arrested at Golden Eagle Shopping Center

Petaluma police arrest man just before 3 a.m. today.

A 26-year-old man was arrested by Petaluma Police this morning on suspicion of prowling and probation violation.

Police said they took Michael Thomas Beacham, described as a transient, into custody at 2:53 a.m. the Golden Eagle Shopping Center in Petaluma.

Police said a  maintenance worker at Dempsey’s Alehouse in the Golden Eagle
Shopping Center saw Beacham trying to open the doors to his car.
This activated the maintenance worker’s car alarm.

Beacham hid in a partially covered patio of a nearby business, where he was
detained without incident.

Beacham was arrested for alleged prowling and violation of probation, police said. He was booked at Sonoma County Jail.
