Convenience Store Robbed Sunday

Police say incident is connected to last week's robbery of Eastside 7-Eleven

Police are investigating a robbery at a Petaluma convenience store, the second over the past week.

On Sunday evening, a man entered the Shell gas station at 421 Washington Street and simulated having a gun in his jacket pocket. He then reached over the counter and took cash from the clerk’s register, before fleeing on foot.

Police say they believe the suspect is the same man who robbed the 7-Eleven near Baywood Circle and Lakeville Highway last Saturday morning. In that incident, the suspect simulated having a gun, but no weapon was seen.

The man described is described a white male, approximately 5’8, 175 pounds, wearing a dark hooded jacket.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to contact Petaluma Police at 707-778-4372 and ask for Officer Aaron Lindh.
