Donations Sought for Kindergartener Injured in Car Crash

The community at Mary Collins School at Cherry Valley is raising money for a kindergartener who was injured in a car crash Tuesday night.

Jazzlin Mejia was injured in a head-on crash on state Highway 121 in Sonoma County that left one person dead and sent her and one other to hospitals.

According to an email sent to the school community by Principal Chad Carvey:

"Our kindergarten student, Jazzlin, has made it through her first big surgery. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

Although it is too soon to know all the challenges she will be able to face and overcome in the coming months and years, what is certain is that they are very serious, and she could use our help.

Right now, there is an immediate need for some basic support for the Mejia family. An account has been set up by some super supportive parents...so that we can all pitch in to help."

The Jazzlin Mejia Trust Fund has been established at Exchange Bank. To donate, you can make out a check to that name and deposit it at any Exchange Bank.
