Woman hits parked car, continues driving

A 49-year-old Petaluma woman was arrested Saturday night after a citizen alerted police to a drunk driver who had hit a parked car on Rainier Avenue and continued driving.

Officers responded to the scene, at Rainier Avenue and Maria Drive, and found Renee Sullivan-Weaver parked in a driveway. She was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and charged with a DUI and a hit and run. She was booked at Sonoma County Jail. The car struck sustained moderate damage.

A parolee was arrested Sunday as he was coming out of First Edition, 1420 E. Washington St., according to the Petaluma Police Department. Kenneth Fuller, 61, of Petaluma is on parole, with strict orders to not use or possess alcohol or be in establishments where it’s the primary item for sale.

When stopped by police, Fuller admitted he had just come from a bar. He was taken to jail, where he was found to have a small quantity of methamphetamine.
