Family Escapes Fire Unharmed

Displaced from home, but is staying with a relative

A Petaluma family has been displaced following a fire in their home Thursday in the 1700 block of Tampico Court.

The blaze started in the garage around 5:30pm while the family was at home. Everyone was able to get out unharmed. Heavy damage was reported to the garage and heat damage to the rest of the home, with damages estimated at $150,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, the family is staying with a relative, said Battalion Chief Phil Sutsos.

Glad they mad it out safe. Looked pretty bad on the news. Stay away from restoration management and keller construction. Not professional and they do very very poor work. Just went through a fire and know first hand.

So thankful that they made it out safe and that the neighborhood was saved. But that fire was yesterday, Sunday at 5:30. I was on Caracas.
