Felon Arrested After Rifle, Meth Found in Car

Carrying bolt-action rifle, police said

A traffic stop on Petaluma Boulevard early Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a felon who was carrying a bolt-action rifle in the back seat, Petaluma Police said.

Daniel Hester-Fallis, age 40, was arrested after being pulled over in the 2000 block of Petaluma Boulevard around 1:30am on Wednesday. Police also found hypodermic syringes in the car in live ammunition. Later, police found a quarter-ounce of methamphetamine on the suspect. He was transported to Sonoma County Jail and booked.
