Fire Fighters Battle Grass Fire South of Petaluma

At least 10 crews on scene of blaze; No homes or structures impacted

A grass fire burned three acres south of Petaluma this afternoon before it was contained.

Firefighters received a call at 3:35 p.m. about a bale of hay on fire at 3795 Old Adobe Road in unincorporated Petaluma, according to Cal Fire.

The fire spread to grassy areas nearby, but did not threaten any homes or other buildings.

There were reports of wires down, according to the dispatcher and PG&E was called out to restore power.

The fire was contained by 7:30pm.
