Healdsburg Man in Jail After Break-in at Home With 2 Teenage Girls

18-year-old man allegedly followed girls home.

An 18-year-old Healdsburg man was arrested after police said he followed two teenage girls home earlier Friday and then tried to break into their house at about 8:45 p.m. that night, police said.

William Pierre Estomba was taken into custody by Healdsburg police after officers caught him in a foot chase about a block and a half away from the girls' home in the 100 block of Kennedy Lane in Healdsburg.

Estomba was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of burglary, resisting/obstructing officers, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.

Jail personnel said Sunday that Estomba was still in custody and had not posted  bail, set at $41,000. He is scheduled to appear in Sonoma County Superior Court on Tuesday, Nov 27, at 1:30 p.m.

Healdsburg Police Sgt. Luis Rodriguez said a report came in Friday at 8:45 p.m. of a suspect attempting to enter a residence with two teenage girls inside.

"As officers responded, the suspect forced his way into the residence through an upstairs window and approached the girls," Rodriguez said.  "The girls yelled at him to leave and he ran out of the residence before officers arrived.

"While officers were still on scene, the suspect walked back in front of the house, despite there being two marked police cars parked in front," Rodriguez said. "An officer on scene attempted to contact the suspect and he fled on foot."

After a foot pursuit, officers caught the suspect in the back yard of a residence about a block and a half away and took him into custody, Rodriguez added.

"It was determined that the suspect had followed the victims home earlier that day as they walked home," he said.

18 and he is violation of probation. Loser. Geez. Glad the police are fast, happy the girls are safe.

I, too, am glad the girls are safe, but I don't think an 18 year old should be labeled a loser. I am sure he has parents who love him and pray for him daily. Hopefully, he will choose to accept help and rebuild his life.
