SANTA ROSA (BCN) - Two lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 that were closed Thursday morning because of an asphalt spill have reopened.
The spill, reported around 9 a.m., closed the two right lanes of the highway near Wilfred Avenue in Rohnert Park, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Caltrans crews responded to clean up the spill, and both lanes reopened around midday.
The vehicle that spilled the hot asphalt was a double-belly dump truck, CHP officials said.
