Man, 55, Busted for Allegedly 'Keying' Cars

A Mini Cooper sustained thousands of dollars of damage, police said.

A Santa Rosa man was arrested in connection with two separate acts of vandalism this month in Petaluma, the Petaluma Police Department said.

Officers responded to a report that a car had been keyed in the 100 block of Petaluma Boulevard South at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

When officers arrived, they located a black Mini Cooper that had thousands of dollars in damage.

One responding officer had also responded to a similar case on March 5, according to police.

In the earlier case, a Lexus was damaged. A witness took down a license plate of a potential suspect, which led to police interviewing 55-year-old Larry Langford of Santa Rosa, police said.

Langford admitted to vandalizing the two cars and was arrested, police said.
