A man nearly drowned after he forgot to plug the bottom of his boat and the watercraft sank, the Argus Courier is reporting.
The incident occurred on Monday, November 5 at the Petaluma Marina when workers in the offices facing the Petaluma River heard a man shouting for help.
Several people ran to the man’s aid, while others dialed 911. The drowning man was rescued by Rob Terry, an agent with Wine Country Real Estate, who hooked his arm into the man’s life jacket and pulled him out of the water, according to the paper.
The man was not injured in the accident, although his 12-foot aluminum boat was completely submerged in the Petaluma River.
