Man Stabbed During Fight with Rival Gang Members

Victim was stabbed twice with a knife, during a fight with three teenage boys, police said.

 

A man was injured in an apparent gang-related stabbing in Petaluma on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The stabbing was reported around 2 p.m. in the 200 block of North McDowell Boulevard.

The victim and three teenage boys began fighting and the victim was stabbed twice with a knife, according to police.

The teens fled but were arrested a short distance away, while the victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not  considered life-threatening, police said.

Investigators believe the victim and suspects are rival gang members and that the fight was gang-related.

The teens, whose names are not being released because they are juveniles, were later booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon with a gang enhancement, according to police.
