Meth & Probation Don't Mix Well on Weaverly Drive

A Petaluma Police officer, on routine patrol, spotted a subject she recognized and knew was on probation in the front yard of a home on the 1600 block of Weaverly Drive.

Omar Penaloza, age 32, of Petaluma, is on probation for being under the influence of drugs, police said. In this week's incident, he was reportedly found with suspected methamphetamine in his pants pocket.

Penaloza was arrested and booked at Sonoma County Jail without bail for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and probation violation, police said.
