Missing Boy Located in New Jersey

Left home Sunday night to meet someone with whom he'd been having conversations online; father en route to collect son

Justin Franz, the Petaluma teen who went missing on Monday, has been located in Trenton, New Jersey and is being held in protective custody by local police, the Argus Courier is reporting.

The 15-year-old boy called home Thursday evening and the call was traced to a New York train station. He was reported missing after his parents found a note on his bed Monday morning. They later traced his online history and found chat conversations to learn that he was headed to New York City where he was to meet a man at Penn Station.

"We're relieved and so happy that he's been found," father Roland Franz told the Argus. "We are all crying, knowing that he's been located and is safe."
