More than 30 Accidents Reported During First Day of Rain

Rain to clear up Tuesday, but return Wednesday, according to National Weather Service

Local CHP responded to over 30 vehicle collisions throughout Sonoma County on Monday, including an accident in Rohnert Park and another near Graton that sent two people to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The majority of the collisions were attributed to unsafe speed on wet roads that resulted in drivers losing control of their vehicles. The CHP is reminding drivers to slow down, since vehicles aren't able to stop as fast or turn accurately on wet pavement.
