One of Two Men Implicated in Massage Parlor Robbery Arrested in Oakland

Police continue search for other suspect

One of the men alleged to have robbed a massage parlor two weeks ago has been apprehended in Oakland, according to Petaluma Police.

On Nov. 17, , at 308 Vallejo St. and stole the employees' wallets and jewelry. The business is a massage parlor that advertises on myredbook.com, an adult services and escort site.

The following day, Oakland police apprehended 29-year-old Ismael Axtle of Oakland after he led officers on a chase. During the chase, Axtle crashed a stolen Mercedes Benz, carjacked another car at gunpoint, fled and crashed again, police say.

A search of the stolen Mercedes uncovered items stolen from the four employees at Anna's Massage, along with several hundred forged credit cards, credit card making equipment and several wigs. A handgun recovered from the suspect, matched the handgun described by the victims in the Petaluma robbery.

At the time of his arrest, Axtle had a $1.4 million dollar warrant out of San Francisco for robbery. He is currently being held in Alameda County Jail on charges of car theft, carjacking, possession of a loaded firearm, vehicle pursuit and fraud charges.

However, a second suspect remains at large. He is described as a Black male, 6’ tall, thin build, chest length braided hair, wearing a cream colored zip up long sleeve collared shirt and blue jeans and drivingn a Mercedes Benz.

Meanwhile, Petaluma police say they are continuing to look into the robbery at the massage parlor and would not say more about the activities at the business, located on a quiet residential street, citing an ongoing investigation.
