According to police, for unknown reasons, Elliot was combative with staff members and refused to obey commands to calm down.

Elliot punched one staff member in the face, causing minor injuries. Two other hospital staff members also sustained minor injuries, police said.

The injured staff members were treated and released from the hospital, police said.
