Petaluma Man, 34, Arrested After Cops Find Knife, Pills, Bizarre Weapon In His Car

Oh, and police say he was driving without a license.

The Petaluma Police Department arrested 34-year-old Gabriel Alcantara after a probation search of his vehicle, on Martin Circle and East Washington Street, turned up a small wooden bat with sharp nail-like objects attached to the bat with a bicycle chain, police said.

Multiple prescription medications, without prescriptions, were also located in a canister, police said, and Alcantara was also reportedly carrying a concealed fixed-blade knife.

And the Petaluma resident was driving without a license, according to the department.

Alcantara was booked into Sonoma County Jail on $5,000 bail for suspected possession of a dirk or dagger, a prohibited weapon, possession of prescription medications without a prescription, driving without a license and violation of probation.

His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
