Petaluma Man Allegedly Drives Drunk in Stolen Car

A Petaluma man was arrested early Friday morning on charges he drove drunk in a stolen car.

Petaluma Police say they stopped 34-year-old Jared Cadwell just after 2 a.m. near North McDowell Boulevard and Corona Road.

"The officer determined the suspect, Cadwell, had been drinking and conducted a DUI investigation," police said in a press release. "Cadwell was arrested for DUI." 

Officers also noticed the car was not registered in the Cadwell's name.

"An officer contacted the registered owner and learned the vehicle had been parked on the driveway and was missing," the press release states. "Cadwell was additionally charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. He was booked at Sonoma County Jail."
