Petaluma Man Arrested After Stabbing Incident

Victim treated for stab wounds to the stomach.

 

A Petaluma man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon Friday after he allegedly stabbed another man in the stomach during a fight outside an apartment complex.

Antonio Ozuna, 30, was booked into Sonoma County Jail on the charge after the 11:22 p.m. incident outside the Greenbriar apartment complex in the 400 block of Greenbriar in Petaluma.

Ozuna is suspected of stabbing a resident of the apartment complex during a fight. The other man, who was not identified, was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening stab wounds to the abdomen, police said.

According to police, they responded to a call at the apartment complex and found a man who had been stabbed in the stomach, allegedly by Ozuna. The man said that he and Ozuna, who had left the scene after the stabbing, knew each other and were involved in a fight.

Police said Ozuna returned after officers arrived, at which time he was identified as the suspect and arrested.
