Petaluma Police reported that a 38-year-old Petaluma man was assaulted with a deadly weapon Sunday evening.
The 38-year-old victim was attacked at 8:32 p.m. on the 900 block of Ely Boulevard South, according to police.
He was hospitalized for treatment. The injuries are not life-threatening and he is expected to recover.
An investigation is on-going and at this time and police said "only limited information can be released."
