Petaluma Man Suspected of DUI Crashes Into Hotel Petaluma

Police arrested Jason Hartnett, 29, on suspicion of DUI.

A car crashed into the Hotel Petaluma early Thursday morning in an apparent DUI incident, Petaluma police said.

Police responded to 106 Washington St. around 2:40 a.m. after a car crashed into the front of the Hotel Petaluma.

The driver of the vehicle, later identified as 29-year-old Jason Hartnett of Petaluma, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.

The crash, which only involved one vehicle, caused damage to part of the office window of the hotel.

The hotel office was closed at the time of the crash. There is no known connection between Hartnett and the hotel. He was not staying at the hotel, police said.

Hartnett was not injured in the accident. He was book at Sonoma County Jail.
