Petaluma PD: Driver in Stolen SUV Nabbed With Drug Paraphernalia, Burglary Tools

A San Francisco man was arrested driving a stolen SUV while in possession of drug paraphernalia and burglary tools early on Friday morning in Petaluma, police said.

A police officer on patrol noticed a Toyota 4Runner traveling on Maria Drive towing a utility trailer without a visible license plate.

The officer pulled over the SUV at the intersection of Maria and Lauren drives at 1:07 a.m. and checked the license plates on the SUV.

The license plates on the were determined stolen and after checking the vehicle identification numbers, the Toyota was determined stolen out of San Francisco. Police said all identifying numbers for the trailer had also been removed.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, police discovered hypodermic needles, bolt cutters and a crow bar, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 47-year-old Greg Corser, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Corser was booked into the Sonoma County Jail with no bail due to his being on supervised release from the California Department of Corrections for a previous arrest, also for possession of a stolen vehicle, police said.
