Petaluma Police Arrest Man for Shenandoah Court Residential Burglary

—By Bay City News

A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a residential burglary in Petaluma from earlier in the month, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary on Shenandoah Court on Feb. 9 when the homeowner returned and noticed property was missing, police said.

The homeowner believed the burglary occurred between Feb. 7 and Feb. 9, according to police.

An investigation led to police identifying 26-year-old Jonathan Hesla, of Petaluma, as the suspect.

Officers conducted a search warrant at Hesla's home on Monday and found stolen property from the burglary at Shenandoah Court, according to police.

Police said Hesla wasn't at his residence during the search but on Tuesday, detectives found him at the Sonoma County courthouse, where he was for a separate matter, and arrested him.

Hesla was booked into jail on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property.
