Petaluma Police Probe Suspicious Golf Course 'Camp'

Coin books and sports equipment, among other items found near a golf course are being investigated as stolen property, authorities said.

Items located on a Petaluma golf course on Monday afternoon are being investigated as stolen property, authorities said.

An Adobe Creek Golf Course maintenance worker reported a large camp near the 11th hole. Responding officers found coin books, power tools and sports equipment among other items that appeared to have been stolen near Adobe Creek, police Lt. Tim Lyons said.

It is not clear if anyone lived at the camp.

Property Crimes detectives have been unable to tie the discovery to any reported thefts or burglaries and are asking for the public's help locating possible crime victims.
