And Yet Another Suspected Identity Snatcher & Thief Caught on Camera in Petaluma

The Petaluma Police Department has released a store's security-camera image of a man suspected of stealing a wallet from a car and then going shopping using the victim's credit cards.

Officers were called Feb. 21 to a reported wallet theft from a vehicles in the Plaza Shopping Center. The car's owner spotted a man in his vehicle, then got to his vehicle and realized his wallet was stolen, police said.

On that same day one of the victim's stolen credit card was used to purchase an Apple Ipad and Apple headphones at Target in Petaluma, police said.

Target security provided a surveillance-camera image of the suspected fraudulent shopper, and the man in the photo matches the description of the suspect seen inside the victim's vehicle when the original theft occurred, police said.

If you know the adult male in the photograph, or can help investigators identify him, please call Petaluma Police at 707.778.4373 or send an anonymous tip through Nixle.

A similar incident was reported March 19, of a man allegedly stealing credit cards from a local gym and shopping for Apple products at Target. That story and the Target security-camera shot is here.
