Petaluma Surveillance Cam Bandit Sought
Theft of surveillance cameras valued at $1,000 from a carwash follows reports of similar incidents in downtown Petaluma, police say.
Police are seeking the public's help identifying a suspect captured in surveillance photos stealing video surveillance equipment from a Petaluma Car Wash.
The suspect took three cameras valued at $1,000, police Lt. Tim Lyons said.
The incident occurred on the 400 block of Petaluma Boulevard North.

It is not clear if the suspect took the cameras with the intention of returning the scene to commit other crimes or for other purposes, Lyons said.
The incident follows reports of similar incidents in downtown Petaluma.

The suspected is described as a white man in his mid 30s wearing glasses. He was seen riding a bicycle and carrying a backpack.
