Petaluma Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Brandishing Weapon
Alleged incident occurred at a 7-Eleven store on 124 Petaluma Boulevard South
Police on Wednesday arrested a Petaluma woman who authorities say broke into a car and brandished a screwdriver when the confronted by the vehicle's owners.
Angela Marie Amaya, 34, was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a weapon (not a firearm), battery and resisting arrest, Petaluma police Sgt. Ed Crosby said.
Amaya was rummaging through the glove box of a car parked at the 7-Eleven store on 124 Petaluma Boulevard South when she pulled the weapon when the car's owners tried to remove her, police Sgt. Ed Crosby said. The incident occurred at about 9:31 p.m.

Amaya also abused an ATM machine inside the 7-Eleven store when she couldn't get it to dispense cash, Crosby said.
No injuries were reported.

Amaya was booked into county jail.
