Repeat DUI Offender Facing 5th Drunk Driving Charge Arrested on Warrant

Suspect's blood alcohol level was more than triple the legal limit at the time of his most recent arrest on Dec. 4.

A repeat DUI offender facing a possible fifth conviction for driving under the influence was arrested today on an outstanding warrant, authorities said.

Sam McKee, 63, of Sebastopol, was arrested on Dec. on suspicion of what would be his 5th DUI in ten years, Petaluma Police Department Sgt. Ken Savano said.

The Petaluma Police Department is lead agency for Sonoma County's regional "AVOID the 13" DUI enforcement task force.

Mckee's prior convictions were in November 2003, January 2004, May 2007, and August 2007, Savano said.

His blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit at the time of his most recent arrest, Savano said.

After bailing out of jail, McKee failed to appear in court on December 23rd and again on December 24th, Savano said.

A judge issued a $250,000 felony DUI warrant for McKee's arrest, Savano said.
