Santa Rosa Man, 50, Arrested for Allegedly Tagging Hwy 101 Overpass

Godfrey Worley, 50, from Santa Rosa was arrested today -- Saturday -- at about 10 a.m. for allegedly defacing or "tagging" the Caulfield overpass at US 101, according to police.

A citizen driving by noticed the suspect vandalizing the freeway overpass with a marking pen and called authorities, said the Petaluma Police Department.

Arriving officers reportedly saw Worley toss the marking pen down onto the freeway below, and they retrieved it as evidence, police said.

The citizen, meanwhile, had placed the suspect under citizen’s arrest.

Police said Worley has had numerous contacts with law enforcement and was transported to County Jail where he remains in custody.
