The sting was held today from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The operation was part of Sonoma County's Avoid the 13 DUI Task Force, an ongoing program that aims to apprehend dangerous drivers and reduce alcohol-related collisions through increased enforcement and public awareness.
Most of the cases involved suspects appearing in court for DUI offenses.
Plain-clothed officers tailed the suspects as they left the court, with other officers waiting in vehicles nearby arresting suspects who got behind the wheel of a vehicle as they drove off.
This operation was conducted as part of the Aug. 16 to Sept. 2 2013 National Summer Mobilization period.
Additional court stings will be held throughout the remainder of the year.
Funding for the Avoid campaign is pair for by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
