Stabbing Suspect Arrested in Petaluma

Adam Jordon Faustino, 32, was arrested at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma.

A man sought by authorities in connection with a stabbing near Santa Rosa was arrested Thursday afternoon in Petaluma.

Adam Jordon Faustino, 32, is suspected of stabbing and slashing Alan Evans repeatedly with an "unknown large cutting instrument" near two Santa Rosa schools Wednesday.

He was found in his vehicle at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma and was arrested without incident just before 1 p.m. Thursday, according to a Sonoma County Sheriff's Department press release.

"Faustino will ultimately be booked into the county jail and charged with attempted murder," the press release states. 

Evans is expected to survive the attack, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.
