Taco Bell Run Ends in 3-Vehicle Collision, DUI Arrest

Petaluma Police arrested woman suspected of causing a DUI crash in the Taco Bell drive-thru at East Washington at Lakeville Street.

A craving for some Taco Bell landed a 59-year-old Petaluma woman in jail early Sunday morning on suspicion of DUI.

Petaluma officers took Carol Maniscalco into custody on suspicion of DUI, shortly after they said she caused a collision in the Taco Bell drive-thru located at the corner of East Washington and Lakeville streets.

Police said Maniscalco went to the popular restaurant at 1:43 a.m., and drove into the drive-thru. Maniscalco rear-ended a four-door Acura that was parked in front of her, according to police.

The collision caused the Acura to rear-end a Toyota Corolla that was parked in front it, and the Toyota subsequently hit a Ford Ranger that was also in the drive-thru for 4th meal.  

No injuries were reported and the damage to the vehicles was minimal, according to police.

Officers arrived at the restaurant and located Maniscalco attempting to reverse out of the drive-thru. The officers conducted a DUI investigation and found Maniscalco to be DUI, according to police.

Maniscalco was taken to the Petaluma Police Department and booked on the aforementioned charge. The Petaluma Police Department has arrested 175 DUI drivers since the beginning of the year.
