Teen, 17, Found With Gunshot Wound To Chest In Petaluma

A 17-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound to the chest Saturday evening in Petaluma, according to police.

The shooting was reported by a resident on the 700 block of Sycamore Lane around 5 p.m., according to Petaluma Police Department acting Sgt. Ron Klein.

The boy was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment with a wound that was not considered life threatening.

Klein said the shooting remains under investigation, but might have occurred on Magnolia Avenue.
