Two Petaluma Brothers Killed in Saturday Crash

Cause of accident still under investigation

Two brothers were killed in a solo-vehicle crash on Pepper Road near Bodega Avenue on Saturday night.

The driver has been identified as Luis Manuel Figueroa, 26, and the passenger was his 18-year-old brother, Jaime Figueroa Villanueva.

The two were driving west on Pepper Road near Walker Road in a 1994 Honda around 11:45 p.m. Saturday when the car went off the roadway and struck a tree, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The brothers, both Petaluma residents, died at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for today and alcohol has not been ruled out as a cause of the accident.
