Two Women Critically Injured in Accident on Lakeville
Police still investigating cause of accident that shut down street for four hours
Two women are in the hospital following a major injury crash on Lakeville Highway that occurred Thursday afternoon.
A 19-year-old Walnut Creek woman collided with an 82-year-old driver from Modesto around 12:30pm just east of Pineview Avenue, past Shollenberger Park. Both drivers suffered major injuries and were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
The collission closed both lanes of Lakeville Highway for about four hours and traffic was detoured to local streets. The cause of the accident is still under investigation and police are urging eye witnesses to contact Traffic Officer Ron Klein at 707-776-3721.
