Update: U.S. Highway 101 South Traffic Snarled During Lunch Hour

Update 1:45 p.m.: Both lanes of 101 southbound between Novato and Petaluma are blocked by an overturned motor home. Alternate routes are suggested, according to the California Highway Patrol.

If you're wondering about traffic during the lunch hour through Petaluma, the culprit can be found a few miles south on U.S. Highway 101.

According to the Petaluma Argus-Courier, a white SUV towing a camper became lodged on top of a concrete barrier in the No. 2 lane, and the camper was partially blocking the No. 1 lane. 

The Argus-Courier report said congestion had reached the East Washington Street exit in town.
