Unlicensed Contractor Enters Guilty Plea
Timothy Silva pleads guilty to one felony, four misdemeanor counts involving fraud and elder financial abuse

The initiated the investigation of Silva after receiving numerous reports from Petaluma residents, many of whom were elderly, that Silva had accepted money to complete construction projects without completing the work as agreed.
The investigation also revealed that Silva, whose contractor’s license had been suspended by the Contractors State License Board in early April of 2011, had not disclosed the status of his license to his customers.

In exchange for his guilty pleas, Silva will spend one year in jail, serve three years on formal probation, and will be ordered to pay restitution to thirteen victims.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 14 at 9:00 a.m., before the Honorable Robert LaForge.
