Pot Brownies, a Trip to the Pumpkin Patch Turns Sour for Couple

A Vallejo man was arrested after he was found intoxicated with three children in his car; burglary reported on Dublin Court.

A 21-year-old Vallejo man was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment after he was found driving intoxicated and his three three children with him.

Jessie Garcia was taken into custody at Petaluma Valley Hospital late Wednesday afternoon where he had taken his girlfriend, who got sick after eating pot brownies earlier in the day. The couple told police they were taking their children to the Pumpkin Patch on Stony Point Road, but decided to eat some brownies that had been laced with marijuana.

The woman remained hospitalized Wednesday and the children were released to a family member.

So he & the wifey get stoned on pot brownies to take their 3 kids to the pumpkin patch. Ok then, what's wrong with this picture? And why is the mom not in jail as well? Released to a family friend are the 3 children to go back into same situation? And we ask why kids are such a mess these days. Please... I yi yi

It's really not as bad as you think. She had a bad reaction to eating marijuana. There is no need to go to jail for consuming/smoking marijuana as it is not exactly "illegal" (fine of $100 for possession) and they most likely had their cannabis card. Should you be arrested for taking NiQuil or Advil when a kid is around? No, because it's medicine. Well guess what...so is marijuana.

First of all marijuana is illegal according to the Department of Justice, but that's beside the point. Anyone who drives under the influence of any substance legal or not, which impairs their ability to drive should be jailed. If you get behind the wheel after taking a whole bunch of NyQuil with your kids in the back seat, yes you should be arrested and you should be investigated by child protective services because you are endangering them. NyQuil and other medicines even have a warning saying "do not drive or operate heavy machinery after taking..." I hope these parents are put away for as long as the law allows because everyone, including their children are safer with them off the roads.

The man was the one driving, not the women. Sandi Melia was asking why the mom wasn't in jail. So I assumed she is angry that the mom consumed marijuana so I was explaining how consuming/smoking marijuana isn't all that illegal anymore. You should have read it more carefully.
