Rear ended another driver in Monday accident; police asking for witnesses to come forward

A 32-year-old Petaluma woman high on prescription pills was arrested after she collided into the back of a Honda at Washington and Howard streets around 4pm Monday.

When officers responded to the scene, they noticed the woman, later identified as Emily Allen, under the influence of prescription medication, for which she did not have a prescription, according to police.

Allen was charged with driving under the influence and being in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. She was booked into Sonoma County Jail with bail set at $10,000. Nobody was injured in the accident.

The collision remains under investigation and a cause has yet to be determined. Witnesses who saw the accident are asked to contact Officer Rob Hawkins at 707.776.3722 and reference case number 12-2772.
