The Ranger spun clockwise and went down an embankment on the right side of the highway. It struck three trees between the highway and the on-ramp from Westside Road to northbound Highway 101, Lemons said.

Adams was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where she died at about 9 a.m., according to the coroner's office.
