Woman Who Died ‘Suspicious’ Death Identified

The woman has been identified as Rebecca Lynn Castro of Rohnert Park.

A woman who died early Tuesday in what Petaluma police are calling a suspicious death has been identified by the Sonoma County coroner's office as 30-year-old Rebecca Lynn Castro, of Rohnert Park.

Castro was pronounced dead shortly after she was brought to Petaluma Valley Hospital in a private vehicle around 12:15 a.m., Petaluma police Lt. Tim Lyons said.

There were no visible signs to indicate how she died, Lyons said.

An autopsy is scheduled for today, a coroner's office spokeswoman said.
