City to Map Out Priorities for 2013 at Upcoming Session

Besides the bi-monthly council meetings, the goal setting session is a laboratory where the council discusses what it wants to focus on in the year ahead. And it's open to the public!

At the start of every year, the Petaluma City Council maps out what it wants to accomplish.

Raising revenue and fixing potholes are always on the list, but so are more specific projects, like the future of the fairgrounds or how to increase the wastewater treatment plant’s capacity to handle high-density waste.

It's dull at times and starts at the shockingly early hour of 8am (on a Saturday!). But it can also be a laboratory for new ideas and projects aimed at making our town a better place to live.

This year, the goal setting session is scheduled for this Saturday, February 2 at the Lucchesi Community Center. Starts at 8am and is expected to continue until 4pm. (We hope there is at least coffee available.)
