Hearing with Assemblymember Huffman on State Park Closures

Strategies for Protecting Our State Parks in Challenging Times

On Friday, June 10, Assemblymember Jared Huffman will hold a hearing to review the impacts of state budget cuts and potential park closures. The meeting will also explore alternative strategies and models for managing the California Department of State Parks following the failure of Proposition 21 and in light of the state's continuing budget challenges.

The hearing will be held at Spring Lake Regional Park at the Upper Oak Knoll Picnic Area. 5585 Newanga Avenue in Santa Rosa.

Please note: The hearing will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Also, there is a $7 fee to enter the park; if you would like to waive the fee to attend the hearing, parking attendants will be prepared to waive it.
