Petaluma Water Ways Walking Tour

Are you interested in the future of Petaluma River access . . . both on land and on the water? Join river access evangelist Susan Starbird at 5:30 p.m. for a two-hour, two mile walking tour highlighting several central-city access spots on Petaluma Water Ways (petalumawaterways.org), a vision for recreation, health, and the environment based on Petaluma’s 1996 River Access and Enhancement Plan.

The plan includes waterfront trails connecting to regional trail systems, multiple launch spots for human-powered watercraft, a community boathouse, small craft rental center, river overlooks, and links together existing landmarks along the city’s waterfront such as the Turning Basin Trestle, David Yearsley River Heritage Center, Marina, and Shollenberger Park.

The tour is free but a donation to the Petaluma Small Craft Center (psc3.org) is welcomed.  Reservations are required, and the meeting place will be sent with your confirmation.  Sign up or obtain more information at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2472132214.
